hello betty donelly just recorded a new track called porcelain baby... it took her exactly five hours to record and mix the song...she worked on it this 4th of july and it is in fact a complete remake of an earlier version...but the other version was too slow...120 BPM..and was full of solo guitar and bass guitar mistakes so this one is recorded at 135 BPM and sounds a whole lot better ! see you on the charts!

hello today has been a busy day, starting at noon. when i woke up i promptly continued some research work i was doing as to how i should create a successful music marketing plan and a 12 week record release plan..
i took notes of all the information, which nearly filled an atoma notepad..i noticed there's a lot of work there in the nearby futuire.. the betty donelly free mini tour 2008 closes to an end with two more shows to come in june..i deliberately chose for a short local tour to test how that works out... this afternoon until after midnight i kicked off an intense myspace promotion campaign that will continue for three months...of course after those three months i will continue to promote on myspace but i mean the first three months will be incredibly intense anyway..yesterday i felt like cutting tracks and made two home recordings ('the storm will never pass', and 'in the begin' - the remake i promised in my previous blogpost!)... ionsonic got the exclusive releases..
also..as all the recordings i made since im solo are rather amateurish, im not sure as to how long these songs will be online on ionsonic or elsewhere...these versions will become very rare collectors' items..so be sure to download them while they are up and running...they will be replaced as soon as studio versions are available..

lemme just congratulate you on finding bettyville...i bet you're starved... would you like some alphabet soup? just follow aunt betty through the door with the grinning face and grab a seat...i'll bring you some soup eheh...and while i'm at it...would you be a dear and push the play button please?....thanks...i know i know....it's not the best productions in the world...gotta get that solo guitar straight!...im too ashamed to put it up in here...but y'all know what...i'll do a remake... and then i'll put it up here....and im sorry ....no drums on my new songs!..i have neighbours you know...but i do play some and i might even decide to do drums on my own songs when i go in the studio...but now im in the middle of my very first local betty donelly mini free tour 2008....yes i planned this short tour to test traveling (i don't have a driver's license), and to test stamina and perseverance...i played at two charitable events and one bar ...the saxophone no less...during my last performance i broke down on stage somewhere in the middle of the song...because of people walking in and out the conferene room...it was a leisure fair and so there's a lot of things going on at once so this 28 and 29 june i have another small appearence on two subsequent arty melange festivals....there will be all kinds of acts from mime to poetry dancing and more...
